Middle Feast Identity

A poetic yet political visual identity celebrating culture as resistance.

Middle Feast is a cultural charity event that raises funds for humanitarian causes through food, music and design. I developed the visual identity and communication strategy, blending minimal elegance with symbolic textures that honour and connect local cultures with Palestine.

I worked as art director alongside Odile Houyet to create a campaign for Middle Feast, a cultural event aimed at raising funds for Palestine. We chose the poppy as our central visual element: its shape evokes Arabic script, and it's a strong symbol of resistance and remembrance. The visual identity plays on contrast: a clean, editorial white layout meets raw poppy textures that bleed into the design. We hid and blurred information to reflect how narratives are often obscured in political crises. The typeface PP Fraktion Sans was chosen for its assertive but contemporary look. The claim Keep the culture alive encapsulates our goal: celebrating identity as a form of survival. We designed both print and digital formats with a poetic but powerful message.
