Where culture meets coffee
Quaty is a concept café born at BAU, inspired by the intersection of Japanese heritage and Brazilian street culture. Set in São Paulo’s vibrant Beco do Batman district, it redefines coffee culture as an inclusive and creative experience.
The challenge
Design a brand that could authentically merge two distinct cultural identities while appealing to a Gen Z audience. The visual system needed to feel bold, dynamic, and rooted in real context not cliché.
The approach
I developed the full brand concept from naming to campaign design inspired by the coati, a curious animal native to Brazil. The visual identity fuses Japanese minimalism with Brazilian energy through strong typography, graffiti textures, and vivid colors. Collaborations with local artists like Titi Freak added authenticity and edge, turning Quaty into more than a café: a creative hub for culture and connection.
