Culture as resistance
Middle Feast is a cultural charity event connecting food, art, and music to raise funds for humanitarian causes in Palestine. The project merges minimal design with deep symbolism to convey unity, identity, and resilience.
The challenge
Design a campaign that could express solidarity and beauty at once — poetic but political, elegant yet raw. The identity needed to honor local cultures while maintaining universal visual appeal.
The approach
Working as art director alongside Odile Houyet, I developed a visual system centered on the poppy a symbol of resistance and remembrance. Clean editorial layouts contrast with organic textures and blurred typography, reflecting how truth is often obscured in conflict. The result is a refined yet emotional campaign that keeps culture alive through design.
